ARTURO L. ROBLES WOUNDED SERIOUSLY IN SOUTH PACIFIC

Fourth Casualty Among Local Guardsmen In May 25th Battle

Word of the fourth local casualty in the fighting around Sarmi, New Guinea, was received Thursday morning when Mrs. Carmen Robles, 207 Nelson street, was informed that her son, Pfc. Arturo L. Robles, was seriously wounded in action there on May 25th.

A National Guardsmen, Robles left here almost four years ago. He is now 26, and was born in Tucson October 19, 1917.

The wounded man has three brothers aslo in the armed services. Enrique "Pitsu" Robles, in Hawaii, and Alfredo "Lefty" Robles, England, are both Army men and formerly well known athletes here. The other brother, Adolfo, is in the Navy. He has two sisters, Mrs. Francisca Soto of Nogales, and Mrs. Margarita Westerman of San Franciso.
